My Thoughts

Golden Years is a hilarious feature film about an  of over-the hill couple who are just trying to get by. They had their lives all planned out, but after the economy crashes and they lose their nest-egg, Arthur and Martha turn desperate. They become a pair of senior bandits, robbing banks with cucumbers. This eases some of their financial troubles and they even help out some of their friends, but a pair of detectives are hot on their trail.

This movie is really cute and funny. Plus, it's loaded up with an all star cast. There were a few parts where you had to stretch your imagination. Like, how could Arthur not get caught when he spent the money that could easily be tracked? But despite some minor incongruities, it's a cute movie. With a comedy, you have to expect some facts to get stretched. Overall, it made me laugh and it was great seeing so many familiar faces.
